Short wave Diathermy(SWD):
This Machine also called SWD, is used by Physiotherapy for treatment of the pain related condition such as Back Pain, Knee pain. This machine produced heat wave that travels deep to the Body parts and increases blood circulation and helps to heal that parts. It is a wave therapy with the use of heat. It is most commonly prescribed machine by orthopedic and Physiotherapist for treatment of Joint pain and Muscle pain related condition.
Interferential Therapy(IFT):
IFT are uses Electric current to relieve pain mainly radiation nerve pain and muscle pain, However it is also used for joint pain related condition such as Knee pain. This machine works on Principle of Pain gait mechanism where pain is blocked with the help of Electric current. This machine is widely used by Physiotherapist mainly sciatica pain and muscle pain.
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical nervous stimulation):
This machine are most famous worldwide and highly prescribed products uses worldwide not only by Physiotherapist but also used by Acupressure and acupuncturist therapist, chiropractor and other related healthcare workers. This machine also used for treatment of nerve radiating pain, muscle pain and joint pain related conditions. Ultrasound therapy(US):
US Machine are used for tender point of the muscle mainly local pain related condition. This machine produced sound wave that also increases blood flow and deep micro massage effect that heal that body parts such as if you have trapezius pain and tenderness, Ultrasound therapy is the best to relieve this tenderness.
Lumbar Traction Machine:
Lumbar traction are used mostly in sciatica pain related condition in which traction helps to relieve pressure on compressed nerve. If your lumbar vertebral space are reduced and nerve are compressed traction machine are mostly used for treatment. There are two mode of traction - continuous traction and intermittent traction.
Cervical traction Machine:
Cervical traction is mostly used where nerve compression occurs at cervical region- neck area where joint space are reduced or disc bulge occurs which in turn creating nerve roots compression, cervical traction helps to relieve pressure on nerve and overall reducing pain and related symptoms.
Infra-red therapy(IR):
IR Machine are used to treat the muscle spasm, joint and muscle pain and swelling. If your are swollen and become spasm, Infra-red machine helps to relieve pain and swelling with its infra-red waves. Infra-red travels deep to the body parts to the joint and muscles and helps to reduce pain and swelling.
Ultraviolet therapy(UVR):
UVR mostly uses for skin healing mainly bed-sore and acne related condition that's why it is rarely used machine in physiotherapy clinic. This machine produced ultraviolet waves that naturally produced by sun.
Electrical stimulation with Galvanic and Faradic current (ES Machine):
ES Machine mostly uses for stimulating the muscle mainly in Paralysis related condition where nerve enters in the muscles also called motor point. If you have bell's palsy and your facial muscles are weak then you are treated with Electric current that helps to strengthen your weak facial muscles. It is widely used for nerve injury related patient and also uses in other paralysis related condition.
Paraffin wax Bath(PWB):
PWB are the wax therapy that uses heat to reduce joint pain and swelling mostly commonly used in distal joint pain related condition such as Ankle pain, wrist and finger pain related condition. Heated wax are in liquid form are applied to affected body parts and helps to relive pain and swelling.
Continuous Passive movement machine(CPM):
CPM Machine are used to mobilize the joint, if your joint are stiff and range of motion of joint are reduced then CPM Machine is the best option where machine produced continuous passive movement of the affected joints. Most common CPM Machine available in India is for Knee joints while other joint CPM are not available in most of clinics in India.
Deep Heat Therapy(DHT):
DHT are machine are uses heat to treat the joint and muscle pain. Machine are uses coil that produces heat are applied to the affected body parts that helps to relive pain and spasm of the muscles. It is also helps to relive joint pain.
LASER Machine (Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation):
LASER Machine uses LASER light that helps to relive deep joint pain and muscle pain, It is costlier machine as compared to other electrotherapy machine that's why not available in most of clinic and it is pain reliever while other pain reliver machine is also available such as SWD, IFT, TENS, US, that's why mostly physiotherapist not to buy machine easily.
